The VP of Product Marketing will be the force behind Symform’s marketing strategy and execution, combining feedback from sales, engineering, partners and support with deep market research and target customer understanding to define equally creative & disruptive market positioning, packaging and pricing strategy that drives wider and broader adoption of Symform’s decentralized cloud platform. This is an important and strategic leadership role within the company, and expectations are high.

Responsibilities: The VP of Marketing is expected to

• Research and segment various market segments and target customers

• Actively engage in sales, business development and support efforts to deeply understand product gaps and market needs

• Gather and analyze feedback from sales, support, marketing, development and the market

• Lead the process to define the product positioning, packaging and pricing

• Own and drive all product marketing activities – web presence, advertising, PR, social marketing initiatives, blogging, forums, etc.

• Conduct business-level verification and market testing of new features

• Become an expert on other products in the marketplace

• Be a go-to person and strategic leader within the company

Requirements:

• 10+yrs experience as a Director or VP of Marketing for a software product and/or Internet service (B2B or B2C)

• Passion for marketing platforms, infrastructure and Internet services

• “Roll-up-your-sleeves” entrepreneurial, startup attitude with maturity and emotional capacity

• Natural ability to relate to partners and end customers

• Ability to work with different people across a team effectively

• Hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example

• Ability to work independently as well as in small groups

• Bachelor’s degree (MBA or other Master’s preferred)

• Outstanding references
