This person will work closely with the content strategy lead to manage the creation and development of a wide range of marketing communication deliverables. The content development project manager will have the opportunity to work with creative contributors to guide the direction of content development projects and provide useful feedback. He or she will also work with brand and voice guidelines, marketing plans, and campaign objectives to create pieces that support our clients¡¦ overall strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities: Working directly with clients to determine content needs and consulting on best approaches. Crafting and applying marketing messaging and positioning frameworks. Creating bills of materials that are targeted to different audiences: end user/consumer/through partner, field, to partner, internal, TDM, BDM, developer, and CxO, etc. Morphing messaging and choosing communications vehicles based on target audience. Creating project briefs and juggling multiple deadlines. Managing customer engagement marketing projects, communities, and programs. Establishing content development project goals, milestones, and procedures. Providing weekly client project status reports and moving content projects towards set goals. Tracking and monitoring client results and budgets to ensure that projects are on schedule and budget . Producing and critiquing all forms of marketing content (written, presentations, video, audio, etc). Being an active member of the Customer Engagement Division working on content strategy project, content development project, customer evidence programs, customer reference programs, social media content projects, and more. Contributing to the health and growth of Projectline through special projects, advisory boards, committee participation, and community involvement.
Requirements: 4 Year Degree with a focus in marketing, business, technology, or communications. 5-7 years of communications, product management, or marketing management required. Hands-on experience creating business-to-business high tech marketing communications. Experience working with design, UI, and web teams. Background in writing, editing, or critical content analysis. Experience managing multiple marketing communication projects. Advanced interpersonal, written and phone communication, and public speaking skills (will be asked to demonstrate). Mastery of marketing fundamentals including segmentation, positioning, and market analysis. Willingness to work around road blocks and lack of responsive with charm and persistence. Exceptionally positive attitude, professionalism, pride in work product. Flexible and intuitive personality who can manage complex internal and client relationships. Ability to think creatively yet practically when advising clients on content strategy. Demonstrable sense of humor, humility, and confidence. Sincere interest in community volunteering and involvement. Dedication to self-development, learning, and growing. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook (or equivalent classes taken before starting). Experience with Exact Target a big plus. Experience doing marketing for high tech companies such as Microsoft, Intel, HP, Oracle, Dell, Hitachi, NetApp, SAP, IBM, Cisco, etc. a HUGE plus.
