What: The Amazon Traffic team is looking for a talented marketing manager with proven leadership skills in managing e-mail communications and analyzing customer traffic and purchase data to identify, prioritize, and implement engaging, effective e-mail strategies.

The E-mail Marketing Manager will be capable of handling multiple projects at once; able to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities; comfortable taking direction but also managing upward; effective working with team members, retail categories, and management; data-driven; detail-oriented; organized; and motivated to provide a fantastic customer experience.
Responsibilities: Growing the e-mail channel against OPS and unit goals, including regularly reporting on those metrics to senior management. Providing strategic and tactical leadership to business owners and e-mail users in North America. Identifying and communicating best practices that improve both customer targeting, mail content and design. Managing the US mass mail program – planning, execution and evaluation – with the help of site merchandising resources. Driving the financial planning process for e-mail’s contribution to the business in close cooperation with the Finance departmen. Driving the evolution of the e-mail software in close collaboration with e-mail development teams.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degre.  2+ years of experience with online marketing. Proficiency with HTML and Excel. Ability to learn our in-house production and analysis tools. Familiarity with SQL. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated skills in managing complex processes with multiple business owners, making tradeoffs against business priorities. Excellent organizational and data analysis skills; ability to derive actionable conclusions from large data sets. Excellent written and oral communication skills; at ease when dealing with senior management. Understanding and ability to create SQL.  A thorough understanding of direct marketing rules. Demonstrated ability to work with global technology and business teams. Aptitude for being organized with flexibility and for delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
