University of Washington College of Engineering Lecture: Driven to Distraction
Mobile phones, PDAs, GPS devices and glowing digital dashboards are drawing our gaze away from the road. Crashes occur and states pass laws, but will our habits change? Such devices are not only here to stay, they are multiplying. Professor Linda Boyle is developing systems that can help distracted drivers and keep roadways safer.
