The Flawed Brilliance of Steve Jobs

February 7, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

What were the formative events in Steve Jobs’ life? How do you tell the story of a man who revolutionized human communication while struggling to find personal connection himself? GeekWire joins the creative forces behind Seattle Opera’s The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs for a discussion of the visionary Apple cofounder. The panel will address the discourse surrounding Jobs in popular culture, and the creative process of turning his life into an opera. We will also examine portrayals of Jobs in other artistic mediums such as theater, film, and literature. Includes live musical performances from the opera. This FREE panel discussion is 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7 in Tagney Jones Hall at the Opera Center (363 Mercer St., adjacent to McCaw Hall)

Panelists:
Mark Campbell, librettist
Kevin Newbury, director
John Moore, baritone (Steve Jobs in The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs)

Moderated by Frank Catalano, GeekWire contributor/columnist on culture, the arts, and technology.
