Fundamentals for Startups: Navigating a Broken Supply Chain; Electronics and Hardware

From chip shortages to ship shortages, the past two years have been brutally difficult from a supply chain perspective. What have we learned, and how have some companies successfully navigated the increasingly complex and rapidly evolving problem of getting the right parts to the right place?


Jennifer Eby is the president/CEO and relationship manager of MaRCTech2, Inc., a small manufacturers’ representative company in the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. Jennifer’s “superpower” is connecting people and building relationships. Her expertise in the organization is networking, building trust, team leadership, and expanding relationships with customers and principals.

As a solutions expert, she is respected and trusted in the field of technology including hardware NPI, printed circuit boards, electronics, and plastic. Jennifer has been building her network for over 30 years and has strong relationships with OEMs, contract manufacturers, and product development companies.

Walter Tobin is the CEO of the Electronics Representatives Association. He has over 40 years of experience in the electronic components industry, having held senior C-level sales and marketing positions during his career. Tobin holds a B.S. and M.B.A. degree from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He is also a former U.S. Army Captain.
