HNTB Corporation will host a joint networking and outreach event in Snohomish County with infrastructure consulting firm Perteet, Inc., to identify partnership opportunities with small and disadvantaged businesses in the region for the upcoming Everett Link light rail extension.
The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, at Perteet’s office located at 2707 Colby Avenue, Suite 900, in Everett, Washington.
Professionals from HNTB and Perteet will be on hand to identify opportunities across a broad range of services in pursuit of the Everett Link Extension project with Sound Transit, which will extend light rail from Lynnwood to Everett. These services include alternatives development, station area planning, environmental analysis, operations, engineering, and outreach and engagement.
“HNTB is committed to collaborating with local small businesses and identifying areas where these businesses can enhance necessary skills and capabilities to complete large-scale projects,” said Kevin Collins, PE, HNTB Seattle office leader and vice president. “Our firm is dedicated to building relationships for the benefit of everyone, and we aim to provide opportunities where we can help our local partner businesses grow.”
Businesses that plan to attend must RSVP by Friday, Dec. 6 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
At the event, HNTB and Perteet will be collecting non-perishable food donations to benefit Volunteers of America Western Washington, which is the largest human-service agency in Snohomish County.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), this meeting will be accessible to persons with disabilities. Accommodations can be arranged with advance notice by contacting Lori Castro, CPSM, marketing manager at email@example.com.
HNTB regularly hosts events for small and disadvantaged business enterprises to promote opportunities for engaging local businesses for project work. The firm also promotes its Partners Program, which it developed a decade ago to build connections and foster community partnerships for SBE, MBE, DBE and WBE firms.
