Speakers:

Rebekah Bastian is an entrepreneur, writer, artist, tech executive, mentor, wife, mother and aerial acrobat. After 15 years at Zillow, with roles including vice president of product and vice president of community and culture, Rebekah is now CEO & Co-founder of OwnTrail.

OwnTrail is a peer-to-peer support system that drives meaningful personal and professional development for women. Through OwnTrail’s proprietary technology, women can own and share their authentic stories as Trails, see people who look like them in the places they aspire to, and empower each other to navigate obstacles and opportunities. In line with this theme, Rebekah published her first book, Blaze Your Own Trail, in February 2020 with Berrett-Koehler Publishers.

Rebekah serves on the Board of Directors of Bellwether Housing and the Advisory Board for the University of Washington School of Mechanical Engineering. She is also an advisor to technology startups, a respected thought leader and community partner. She writes articles in multiple publications including Forbes.com and is a frequent speaker at conferences and community events. She has been recognized in the Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40, the Inman 33 People Changing the Real Estate Industry and the Female Founders Alliance Champion Awards. Rebekah earned her Masters of Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.

Michelle Kwok is a born and raised Vancouverite – medical science student turned social entrepreneur. She co-founded FLIK (weareflik.com), a platform connecting female founders/leaders and students across the world via meaningful apprenticeships. Michelle has had the honour of speaking at universities and spaces across North America sharing her thoughts on entrepreneurship, womxn empowerment, diversity and inclusion, and breaking down barriers. She now serves on the alumni advisory council of League of Innovators and as an alumni rep for Next 36 where she works to accelerate more youth entrepreneurs. She has been recognized as YWCA’s Young Woman of Distinction in 2020 and a Conversationalist GenZ Honoree.

Liz Pearce is the co-founder and CEO of Fresh Chalk, a site for sharing recommendations for products and professionals with people you know. Prior to Fresh Chalk, Liz was CEO of LiquidPlanner, a project management software company, and Chief Revenue Officer at Streem, a Portland-based augmented reality startup. Liz serves on the board of the UW Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship for three years and is an active mentor and speaker in the Seattle entrepreneur community. When not working, she’s hanging with her kids and pup, cooking, or practicing yoga.

Ochuko is a 22-year-old Nigerian entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of Parachute Media- a media brand that creates content and experiences for women and nonbinary people of color, with the goal of helping them ReCLAIM their narratives Ochuko is also an Incoming Assistant Brand Manager for adidas Originals and works to help diverse founders build their companies through her role at the Envision Accelerator. Currently, in Portland, Oregon, Ochuko is a senior and economics major at Lewis & Clark College.
