Blue Nile is looking for a passionate and talented Email Marketing Manager to analyze, plan, and launch email campaigns.  The ideal candidate for this position has a solid background in email marketing, strong analytics and management skills.  This position works closely with members of the marketing, creative, merchandising, and web development teams to achieve growth objectives. The successful candidate is well organized, can work well under pressure, strong attention to details and has an integrated team approach.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth analysis of email campaigns internal and competitive.
  • Craft a customer contact strategy, develop multi lifecycle campaigns targeted to different customer segments
  • Develop and augment a strategic roadmap, Inventory all facets of an existing email marketing strategy and identify strengths and weaknesses. Based on findings, provide recommendations for short and long term strategic initiatives
  • Analyze segmentation performance and augment campaigns to generate maximum potential conversion and retention.
  • Optimize email marketing campaigns by executing recommendations for improved performance and segmentation changes.
  • Write SQL queries and create pivot tables to analyze historic campaign data, transactional data, customer profile data, and making actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Deliver tactical recommendations on a variety of topics including creative, deliverability, data hygiene, privacy, segmentation and testing strategies.

 

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing with at least 4 years in email marketing.
  • 2+ years working with an ESP, Responsys a plus.
  • 2+ years experience of successfully managing and mentoring direct reports.
  • Solid understanding of the online marketing space with knowledge of direct marketing principles and research techniques
  • Current knowledge around email marketing opportunities and challenges including deliverability, creative, segmentation and modeling, privacy and data security, etc
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Experience translating data analysis into actionable marketing recommendations and presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including onsite presentations to large groups and executives
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL
  • Detail-oriented, high energy, and impeccable integrity
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines while demonstrating enthusiasm towards colleagues and clients
  • Provide examples of campaigns you have worked on
