Seattle University has an exciting, dynamic opportunity for a Digital Designer to join our community.

Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, this position serves as a design resource in Marketing Communications, supporting web/social content creation and advertising and marketing campaign related executions to engage, nurture and sustain an impactful and trustworthy Seattle University online experience.

The designer plays a key role in support of top-level university-wide projects and, secondarily, provides advice and design assistance for marketing communications projects for schools and colleges, which provide their own front line web-support resources.

The scope of the role also includes creation and launch of websites that attract, engage, and propel the University brand and message.

Members of the Marketing Communications team serve as stewards of the university’s institutional voice, brand and reputation. Team members are expected to provide excellent service to the university, contribute to collaboration within the team, and to effectively advocate for best strategy and practices across the campus community.

Team members provide direct service to university-wide initiatives and advise others on strategy and execution of initiatives supporting the vision, mission and values of the university.
Essential Job Functions

  • Produce and create digital and print solutions including web pages and custom page layouts, email templates, social media designs, advertising, signage and banners.
  • Work with copywriter, designers and other creative team members on concept development.
  • Implement university visual web brand guidelines online.
  • Monitor industry best practices.
  • Clearly present solutions to a wide-range of clients.
  • Demonstrate ability to work on crisis projects, on tight deadlines.

Compensation Salary will be discussed during the interview process and is commensurate with qualifications.
