This role is an essential part of a creative team that connects the community with the powerful mission, vision and work of Northwest Center. The ideal candidate will be an engaged listener, sensitive story-teller and flexible thinker who wants to make an impact in the community and provide top-notch customer service to all internal customers. This is a small, and growing, team of marketing professionals tasked with telling NWC stories and engaging the community in our work.

Responsibilities:

– Represent the Marketing Department by actively developing relationships with other departments and business lines, your customers!
– Provide customized consultation and support for marketing communication programs designed to promote our individual business lines and mission.
– Collaborate with others in the Corporate Marketing Department to manage and protect NWC Brand and communications standards in all marketing and communications efforts.
– Be an integral part of the broader communications team, collaborating across shared goals, projects and activities

– Develop effective and persuasive content for internal and external communications, including but not limited to brochures, client presentations, statement messages, bios, fact sheets, forms, press releases and social media
– Manage and collect useable content: Supports email marketing campaigns, including fundraising, special events, employer branding and advocacy.
– Support on-going NWC Website design and modifications
– Manage content bank and version control of all content for usage by key stakeholders and divisions.
– Public Relations and Media
– Manage NWC’s editorial calendar in conjunction with marketing campaigns, events, and happenings.
– Serve as a point-of-contact and corporate resource for media relations and communication
– Plan and coordinate corporate functions and marketing events including content development, communications plans, site inspections, run of show and vendor management.
– Write Press Releases (including stories for internal and external use)
– Familiarity with use of PR Web is helpful
– Acts as coach and editor for guest content contributors, including NWC staff, volunteers and community partners

Requirements:

– Bachelor degree or equivalent career experience
– Some marketing/communications/PR experience
– Excellent Writing Skills (provide writing samples)
– Customer-focused attitude
– Trustworthy and dependable
– Delivers quality work, timely responses and meets project deadlines
– Strong research, planning and coordination skills with anticipation of problems
