What: This position is responsible for delivering 40-45 continuing legal education programs to WSBA members each year by directing and serving as a lead moderator and technical advisor for assigned live webcast seminars, webinars, and recorded training sessions from the WSBA-CLE Conference center and other sites. The position works collaboratively with the Webcast Production Manager, Seminar Development Specialists, Program Coordinators, and related staff; and also interfaces with seminar faculty to ensure the delivery of an effective online learning experience.

Responsibilities: The major duties include overseeing the technical aspects of recorded programs (webcasts, webinars, or training videos) such as moderating live seminar webcast communications between the online audience and seminar faculty; leading the team in the control room on day of webcast, including trouble-shooting technical issues and making final decisions on faculty placement, shot selection, audio levels, etc.; providing work direction and coaching to the technical director and faculty; managing technical needs of faculty; and assisting with the resolution of onsite, day-of issues that arise. Additional duties include participating in seminar development team meetings to enhance the quality of curriculum and presentation and to continue to evolve best practices, and advising and coaching faculty about online presentation skills.

Requirements: Two years of producing live broadcasts and/or online programming is required. Two years college or a combination of certification and experience is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Some non-linear editing experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite is desired. Proficiency with video and audio setup and troubleshooting, along with in-depth knowledge of computer hardware and software used in capture and delivery of electronic media is needed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good judgment, and a patient, calm, and helpful demeanor are required. Must be able to multi-task and handle concerns under sometimes stressful conditions, and must have the initiative and confidence to make decisions on the spot.
