Responsibilities: As Public Relations Manager, you will play a key role in building awareness, implementing strategy and driving adoption of company product lines and brand. This role will work closely alongside the VP Marketing and marketing team while helping manage an external PR agency. The position will be responsible for: creating and coordinating product specific PR strategy and plans, building media relationships, maintaining on-going contact information, consistently delivering on the media outreach plan, writing and distributing press releases and media alerts, coordinating media events, and fostering media relationships. We are seeking a driven PR professional who is able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment.

 Manage and implement Tableau’s strategic public relations plan

 Grow brand awareness and market share in the U.S. through strategic PR campaigns

 Manage planning and implementation of product-based PR campaigns under guidance from the marketing VP

 Work collaboratively with marketing teams to align PR strategy with business/marketing communications objectives and to support overall marketing plans

 Support product launches by working closely with product marketing and the PR agency in the creation of press releases, media alerts, creating media target lists, building product messaging, supervising media outreach

 Write and distribute press releases with a focus on customer win releases

 Responsible for U.S. media relations, manages own contacts, and facilitates networking for Company Executives.

 Proactively reaches out and builds Tableau relationships with the different media through regular interaction

 Analyzes the quantitative and qualitative outputs of PR programs to maximize effectiveness and ROI

 Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

 4-9 years experience in public relations; analyst relations is a bonus!

 Analytical and creative

 Knowledge of MS Office

 Basic knowledge of HTML

 University degree

 Excellent oral and written communication skills

 Results-oriented

 Dedicated to customer success
