What: Amazon.com is seeking an innovative leader for its Global Brand, Offline Advertising and Lifecycle Marketing teams within its Global Marketing Organization (also referred to as the “Traffic” organization.)

The Global Marketing or Traffic Teams at Amazon are responsible for all external communication with retail customers, wherever those customers are, except for on Amazon.com.  Communication channels the teams oversee include Paid and Natural Search, Display Advertising, Email, Television Advertising, Amazon’s Associates (Affiliate) program, Social Network Marketing and more.

Responsibilities: As Amazon’s Director of Mass and Lifecycle Marketing, you will be responsible for delivering Amazon’s message through Mass advertising channels via effective development of communication strategies and advertising plans.  You will also drive awareness for the brand and enforce its integrated and consistent use internally and externally on a worldwide basis. The Director of Mass and Lifecycle Marketing will work closely with Retail and Traffic teams to develop marketing programs for Amazon’s retail businesses and categories across TV, print, radio, OOH, etc. You will lead the charge on our customer and market research and insights programs, and will coordinate with Retail and Traffic leaders to translate your findings into segment marketing plans and initiatives. Additionally, you will be accountable for managing the production process of advertising creative, program management, as well as media planning and buying through your internal team, agencies and contract resources.
Requirements: Strong base of Mass media experience with sophistication in online and direct marketing. Strong database marketing and CRM skills, with demonstrated ability to dive deep into customer data and translate findings into actionable customer insights and powerful marketing programs. Superior strategic thinking and leadership skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects through completion. Demonstrated leadership and expertise in brand building and marketing for a leading consumer brand High level of initiative, with the ability to take calculated risks to drive business results. Effective problem-solver and strategic thinker; demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop fact-based recommendations to persuade stakeholders. 15+ years in experience in Advertising/ Brand Management and Marketing. 5+ years senior level experience managing a team. P&L management experience a big plus. A BA/BS is required, an advanced degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising or related field is preferred.
