Amazon’s experience in retail, technology, digital content, and mobile services provides a strong foundation for future development in this arena, and we’re moving aggressively to help our customers in new and innovative ways. We’re looking for an experienced marketing manager to own traffic generation, promotion creation and execution, site merchandising, and general customer experience improvement for both online and mobile stores that serve Amazon’s smartphone customers.

Responsibilities: As the Marketing Manager, Mobile you will create and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that increases awareness of and drives traffic to our online and mobile stores. You will also own creation and implementation of our brand, positioning, and editorial voice in both our online and mobile stores. Our ideal candidate will be able to work at both the strategic level (generating bold and innovative ideas for growth) and at the tactical level (managing campaigns with site merchandising tools, analyzing traffic data, and solving problems) and have a passion for both the online and mobile spaces. You will: Segment our customer base and develop a deep understanding of each segment’s needs. Create a comprehensive marketing plan for building awareness of and driving traffic to our online and mobile stores for smartphone customers. Execute the marketing plan using free and paid search, email marketing, affiliate marketing, social networking, banner advertisements, site-placements on Amazon.com and other relevant marketing vehicles.Own site merchandising for our stores and work with both internal and external design and editorial resources to ensure our on-site placements and product information meet Amazon’s high quality bar. Shape fundamental design elements of our store and ensure that the right voice and high-quality bar are maintained throughout. The Marketing Manager, Mobile may also manage a small team of site merchandisers.
Requirements: 7-10 years experience in marketing or marketing communications. 5+ years experience in online marketing. 3+ years experience in mobile marketing desired. Bachelor’s degree required; M.B.A. preferred.
