The theme is “Health Care Activism – NOW!” This forum will appeal to many as the need for grassroots organizing for social justice is more urgent now than ever. Our speakers have enormous experience and expertise in advocacy for social justice.

George Lakey is an iconic figure in the non-violent resistance movement for over the last 50 years.

Dr. Carol Paris is the national President of PNHP and is very active in the advocacy for Medicare for All.

Since 1987, Physicians for a National Health Program has advocated for reform in the U.S. health care system. A large part of our work involves educating health professionals, and others, about the benefits of a single-payer system – including fewer administrative costs and providing comprehensive health insurance for all residents of the United States.
