Khronos VR/Open XR Seattle Launch & Hacker News Meetup

Virtual Reality (VR) is an exciting opportunity and Seattle’s tech community is coming together to drive the space forward.
In support of the Khronos OpenXR working group, which is creating standards for VR, the Seattle chapter kicks-off at this event in partnership with Hacker News Seattle.
The Khronos Seattle chapter will create the community hub for Seattle being a major player in the future of VR. To RSVP and learn more, click here.
The event will also include a conversation about the future of VR and how Seattle is building a leadership position in the space. That conversation will feature:
- Vinay Narayan, executive director, VR at HTC Vive
- Joe Ludwig, VR programmer, OpenXR board member, Valve Corporation
- and Ryan Wang, co-founder and general partner at Outpost Capital
At the launch event organizers will open up the direction of the chapter, discuss the future of the 3D Web and new Khronos Standards such as OpenXR, and collective insights to help build the future for the industry and XR startups.
Parking: Free parking in QFC parking lot at 500 Mercer, entrance is located on the NE corner of the building.

Fireside Conversation: Khronos Group, Open Standards and the future.
