Our first speaker in our series is Dan Shapiro.

Dan is the CEO & cofounder of Glowforge, the 3D laser printer that had the largest crowdfunding campaign in history. Prior to founding Glowforge, Dan wrote “Hot Seat: The Startup CEO Guidebook,” and created Robot Turtles, the most backed tabletop game in Kickstarter history. Previously, Dan spent two years as CEO of Google Comparison, Inc., after Google acquired his previous company, Sparkbuy. Shapiro was also founder and CEO of Photobucket Inc. (formerly Ontela). He has been awarded a dozen U.S. patents and is currently serving as technical consultant to his 8-year-old twins’ lemonade stand.
