Infopop Corporation Changes Name to Groupee, Inc. — New Name Embodies Company Focus on “Web Citizens,” or “Groupees”
Infopop Corporation, the leader in online community services, has formally changed its name to Groupee, Inc.  The purpose of the change is to consolidate the company brand, and to better represent the company’s focus on web citizens (or Groupees).  As part of the switch, the company’s flagship service, eve, has also been renamed Groupee Community.

“The name change and re-branding will make the decision process easier for new customers, by consolidating several of our internal brand names into one cohesive package.  Groupee refers to the web citizen, the user who is at the heart of everything we do,” said Ted O’Neill, CEO of Groupee. “Taken literally, a group-ee is a member of a group and our efforts have always been on providing an ideal platform to allow online groups to thrive.”

The name change comes along with an entirely new brand identity, including a new logo and website design, which can be found at http://www.groupee.com.
